Join us for a spectacular Independence Day celebration filled with patriotism, live entertainment, and all‑day excitement for the whole family. The MCLB Albany Independence Day Celebration brings the community together to honor our nation’s birthday with a full day of shared fun and festive spirit.
 
Take in a full lineup of live music, hands‑on activities, and a wide selection of food trucks serving local favorites. Throughout the event, enjoy fire twirlers, stilt walkers, and a crowd‑pleasing magic show, adding bursts of energy and entertainment as you explore everything happening across the venue. With plenty of space to relax and activities to explore, kids and adults alike will find something to enjoy from. As the sun sets, gather with friends, family, and neighbors for a breathtaking fireworks display that lights up the night sky in true Independence Day fashion.
 
Base Access
This event is open to the public. Attendees ages 16–17 must present a valid ID to enter; school IDs are accepted if under 18.
All patrons 18 and older are required to show a valid REAL ID or passport for entry.
 
This MCCS event is sponsored by Albany Beverage Company and USAA. MCCS sponsors. No federal or DoW endorsement implied.

6:15PM – Stroll Show – Amphitheater
6:45PM – Flame Twirler – Amphitheater
7PM – Magic Show on main stage
8PM – Flame Twirler – Amphitheater
             Thomas Merritt Band – Main Stage
8:45 – Evening Colors, mounted Color Guard
9:30PM – Fireworks

  • Shade tents
  • Personal fireworks or sparklers
  • Controlled illegal substances and their associated paraphernalia
  • Weapons, including knives
  • Mace or oleoresin capsicum (i.e. pepper) spray
  • Tasers
  • Stun guns
  • Drones (UAS)
  • Grills
  • Pets (Verified, registered service animals ARE permitted.)
 
FAQs:
·   Is the event open to the public? Yes. All attendees 18 and older must have a valid REAL ID or passport to attend. IDs will be scanned at the entrance.
·   Can I bring in a bag? Medical bags, diaper bags, and small purses are allowed. All bags are subject to search
·   Is the event free? Yes, admission is free.
·   Will there be food & beverages available for purchase? Yes. We will have food trucks on-site.
·   Is there seating? Limited bleacher seating will be available, but this is primarily a lawn event. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and folding chairs for their comfort. All seating areas are first‑come, first‑served.
·   May I bring a cooler? No. Coolers are not permitted.
·   Will there be on-site parking? Yes. Patrons with existing base access may enter through Gate 5 (Truck Gate) and park on base.
Members of the general public, including those with Veterans Access Cards, will park in the Pass & ID parking lot.
Please follow the directions of traffic guards, who will guide all vehicles to the appropriate parking areas.
·   Will there be handicap accessible parking? Yes
·   Can I bring my pet? No, pets are NOT permitted. Verified, registered service animals are permitted.
·   Will there be restroom facilities? Yes, there will be port-o-lets available.
