Summer Reading Program - Read, Renew, Repeat
Online registration begins: June 1
Log reading minutes: 9AM on June 1 through 9PM on August 4
Summer Reading Finale: August 9
Who can participate: All authorized patrons.
Challenges available for:
- Children ages infant to 11
- Teens ages 12-17
- Adults ages 18+
You must register and log reading minutes online. Final reading minutes must be logged online by 9PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024, to qualify for the grand prizes.
Guidelines and Rules:
- Register for the Summer Reading Program online at https://lejeunenewriver.beanstack.com
- Make sure that you select your preferred pickup point for prizes.
- Log your reading time between 9AM on June 1 and 9PM on August 4 for all programs.
- All reading counts regardless of the medium of the materials.
- Reading aloud to your children counts toward both your and their reading time.
- Make sure to log time individually for each person.
- Prizes will be available throughout the summer at your selected pick-up spot beginning June 17.
- New prizes/updated prizes will be available on June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 9.
- Prizes will be updated based on reports run June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25, and August 4.
- Children, teens, and adults who are eligible for a level prize will have a bag with their name on it. If no location is specified on registration form, prizes will be at the Harriotte B. Smith Library for pick up. Please pay close attention to your Beanstack online account for announcements regarding pick up and locations. This information will also go out on Facebook and Library online calendar.
- New prizes/updated prizes will be available on June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 9.
- Grand prizes will be awarded at the end of the summer to individuals from each challenge who read the most minutes out of anyone registered in that challenge.
- Please note that you can only participate in one challenge.
- This includes minutes read beyond the available ‘badges’ that are attached to prize levels.
- Events will be announced via Facebook Group (Libraries @ MCCS Lejeune-New River), Beanstack, and the Library Calendar.
- All level prizes (kids, teens, and adults) are earned during the Summer Reading Program for the number of minutes you read. Substitutions will be made without notice as prizes run out.
