MIKE CORRADO BAND
The Mike Corrado Band is a powerful group of musicians whose roots stretch back to 1996, when they first met aboard Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC, while serving in the United States Marine Corps. What began as a shared love of music among active-duty Marines quickly evolved into a dynamic musical force that would tour the country and perform alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. From 1997 to 2001, the band headlined at venues across the U.S. and shared the stage with artists like Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi, Edwin McCain, John Mayer, Vertical Horizon, Tina Turner, Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians, and more. Their unique blend of rock, blues, and soulful Americana made them a staple in the live music scene during this era.
In 2001, the band's momentum was interrupted by the events of September 11th. Mike Corrado, the band's leader and an infantry officer in the Marine Corps, was called back to active duty in support of the Global War on Terror. He was deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, and remained in active service until his retirement in 2020. This led to a hiatus for the band, as Corrado's military career took him to various assignments. Though their official touring schedule came to a halt, the band reunited on occasion throughout the years for special performances and jam sessions.
In November 2024, The Mike Corrado Band reunited at Harmony Hill Studios in Shelbyville, TN to begin their first new recording in over 25 years. This exciting new chapter marks a return to the studio for the band, as they prepare to release fresh material to their loyal fanbase.
Special performances by the 2D Marine Division Band and singer/songwriter Michael Schott.
