Contest Rules

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) contests are subject to the following conditions.

PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT

AUTHORITY: 10 U.S.C. 5013, 10 U.S.C. 5041, SECNAVINST 1700.12B; MCO P1700.27B W/CH1, DoD 7000.14-R Volume 13, and SORN NM01700-1.
PURPOSE: Entry information will be used for MCCS Lejeune-New River contests to determine the winners and award prizes. In addition, entrant information may be used for statistical analyses and advertising purposes.
ROUTINE USES: Information will not be shared outside of DoD.
DISCLOSURE: Voluntary; however, failure to provide the requested information may delay award notification or result in forfeiture of winner eligibility.

How to Enter: Complete and submit the entry form for the named MCCS giveaway event. Drawing entries are limited to once per day by individual. All entries must be received by 11:59PM EST on the last advertised day of the contest. MCCS is not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, incomplete, or misdirected online entries. MCCS is not responsible for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions. All entries become the property of MCCS.

Selection of Winner: Winners will be selected by the following construct:
• Five individual winners will each receive a $100 MCCS Gift Card.
• One unit will be selected to receive a $500 MCCS Gift Card.
Entries for individual prizes will be downloaded via an Excel document, and a random number generator will be used to select the winners that correspond with that Excel row number. Winners will be contacted by an MCCS Substance Assessment and Counseling Program staff member and winners will receive both an email to the email address they submitted with their contest entry and a call to the phone number they submitted with their contest entry. Winners are required to pick up their prize at the Substance Assessment and Counseling Program office during business hours by showing their valid DoD ID no later than 3PM on December 4, 2025. The likelihood of winning is dependent on the number of eligible entries.

The $500 MCCS Gift Card for a unit will be awarded to the unit with the highest number of eligible entries. The winning unit will be contacted by an MCCS Substance Assessment and Counseling Program staff member.

Conditions: Should MCCS be unable to identify, contact, or verify eligibility of a winner, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner after 7 days. By accepting the prize, winners agree to release MCCS from any and all liability for injuries and/or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the award of the prize, traveling to, or participating in, any prize activity. By accepting the prize, MCCS will publish the winners’ names in MCCS media as winners of the MCCS contest. Prizes are nontransferable and are nonredeemable for cash. MCCS contest decisions shall be final and binding in all matters related to the drawing.

Eligibility: Marine Corps Headquarters level Commands are not eligible. Only active duty service members may submit entries that include a unit. Military spouses and civilians should not provide unit information; such entries will not be counted toward the unit prize. No purchase is necessary to enter. All authorized MCCS and MCX limited and unlimited patronage customers 18 years or older (as of the date of entry) are eligible to participate in this drawing, excluding MCX and MCCS employees and military personnel assigned to the MCX and MCCS; (collectively the “Employees”). This sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Entry Information: MCCS is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information caused by Internet users’ technical or human error or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes, which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes. MCCS and MCX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes drawing for any reason, including should viruses, bugs, or other impediments beyond the MCCS and MCX control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the sweepstakes.
