Can't-Miss April Events Celebrating Our Military Kid Heroes
April is Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize and celebrate the amazing children of our service members. Despite frequent moves, parents deploying, and other challenges, these resilient kids adapt with courage and strength.

We asked military kids, "What is it like to be a military child?" Their candid answers reveal...
"Being away from my dad for a long deployment, and spending less time with him because of his long work days, is hard. Sometimes he has to miss out on my school activities." ~ Connor, age 8

"We get to live overseas for three years and travel to many places." ~ Logan, 6

"Being a military child sometimes can be fine because you get to go places, but it’s also sad because Dad is gone a lot and you don’t know when they’re going to come back." ~ Jameson, age 9

These quotes really show the unique experiences and tough situations military kids deal with and why they deserve our respect. In support of these amazing kids, MCCS is excited to share these fun events and special offerings for kids and families happening all month long as we honor of our extraordinary military children!
