Wallace Creek Fitness Center and Road Closures on September 19
In support of the half marathon, Wallace Creek Fitness Center will have a delayed opening at 2PM on September 19. Additionally, patrons will experience road closures during the race:
- Outbound lanes on Wilson Blvd. from the Wallace Creek exit to Brewster Blvd. exit will be closed from 6:30 - 9AM
- Birch St. from Parachute Tower Rd to McHugh Blvd. will be closed from 5AM - Noon
Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time and use alternate routes during this time.
Location Detail
The Recruit Sales Store is located inside building 6000 aboard MCRD Parris Island, just behind the esteemed yellow footprints. Its primary function is to serve the recruits as they enter and continue training, providing them needed personal hygiene, stationery, and optional clothing items.
There is also a small grab and go snack area including a food bar in the rear of the store for Drill Instructors and other authorized patrons.
