Twice a year, the Marine Corps Exchanges partner with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society to raise money to support servicemembers and their families in need. Authorized customers purchased a coupon that was good for $5 off merchandise, and which also provided a 5% discount. Funds from the coupon sales went directly to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS).

"The purpose of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is to provide financial, educations and other assistance to members of the Naval Service, when in need" said Rita Fountain, Director, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Camp Lejeune.

In 2022, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society helped 2,345 Marines, Sailors, and their family members aboard Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station.

"This is a combined effort that included all retail sites. Last year, the two main Exchanges and the Marine Marts aboard Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station raised $112,860. This year, the Spring promotion generated over $70,070," said John Causey, MCX Camp Lejeune Manager. “We need your help to do more, and you get to save while helping.”

Because of the generosity of the Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station patrons, the NMCRS was able to provide over $46 million worldwide in interest free loans and grants. Seven hundred thirty-seven thousand was in educational grants. "Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is able to operate because of the generous donors throughout the world. Every donated dollar has a great impact. We would not be able to provide the services that we do without the generosity of people like you," added Fountain.

For the past four years, the MCCS Associates at Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station have raised the highest amount from the coupon sales among all the commands in the Marine Corps. Again this year, the the Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station MCCS Associates were able to still be the number one fund generators for the Spring promotion.
