Magical Moments with MCCS
Our Daddy Daughter Dance was held on June 15 and was a smashing success with a sold-out venue. Almost 300 patrons enjoyed a night of food, dancing, and photos to make lifelong memories at our annual event. This year's theme was "Under the Sea," and many attended in their dress blues to impress their princesses.

Marston Pavilion provided a beautiful backdrop to create an elegant evening to celebrate our princesses and their heroes. DJ IZ provided a variety of hits and packed the dance floor. Dads and daughters danced the night away to pop, country, and traditional music with line dances as well. The little girls loved chasing balloons around the dance floor. Each couple received a commemorative photograph and frame to have a lifetime memory.

Our smorgasbord was prepared by Courtney Manock and the Catering Chefs: Chicken Tenders, Grilled Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Fries, Mac-N-Cheese, Broccoli, and Fresh Fruit with lemonade, and cupcakes for dessert.

Brent Vines won the Blackstone grill giveaway and was glad his wife encouraged him to sign up. His little girl didn't want to come off the dance floor for the photo.

Cindy Eby, manager of The Club at Paradise Point, said, "I think that this event is making memories for both the little girls who at that age idolize their fathers and the Dads who want the girls to stay little forever!"

Todd Carver, Director of MCCS Facilities & Maintenance Division, commented, "The Daddy Daughter Dance is such a special event, and a wonderful opportunity to treat your little girl like a princess. It's become an annual affair for us, and my daughters still get excited about the dance every year."

Walter E., a retiree, shared, "My 11 and 7-year-old daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed attending this year's dance. We even won one of the prize drawings. We loved the cupcakes and food was delicious. As a retiree, my girls and I look forward to events like this to spend quality time together."

You'll have another opportunity to dress up with the whole family at our MCCS Family Ball in November. Be the first to learn of this and other events by getting our MCCS Weekly Newsletter here https://lejeunenewriver.usmc-mccs.org/about/newsletter-sign-up.
