The WARR Center is Now Open in Support of Marine Corps Total Fitness
MCCS Lejeune-New River recently unveiled a groundbreaking new training facility designed to optimize the combat readiness and resilience of Marines. The Warrior Athlete Readiness & Resilience (WARR) Center aboard MCB Camp Lejeune is the first in the Marine Corps built specifically to enhance operational fitness levels across the four Marine Corps Total Fitness domains – physical, mental, spiritual, and social.

Central to the center's mission are specialized workout plans tailored to the specific needs of the unit – pre-deployment conditioning, maintaining strength and power during deployment, and post-deployment recovery & mobility. However, the program goes far beyond just physical training.

In addition to physical fitness, the WARR Center focuses on building resilience by adopting a holistic approach, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. Proper nutrition, injury prevention, mental conditioning, and identifying core values are all integrated components. "MCCS has experts on staff covering every aspect of Human Performance – all working together," said Raymond Anderson, MCCS Lejeune-New River Semper Fit Director of Strength & Conditioning. "Along with cutting-edge equipment, we utilize our human performance team to provide units with support throughout their Training and Exercise Employment Plan (TEEP). This approach provides an unprecedented level of services to enhance the full mind-body readiness of Marines."

Within the first 30 days of opening, the WARR Center has served over 7,500 Marines & Sailors and completed an onboarding process with the 10th Marine Regiment and 6th Marine Regiment.

The Marine Corps' implementation of the WARR Program signals a new era of optimizing human performance and combat readiness through the latest sports science and mental conditioning techniques. By providing this integrated approach, Marines will be better equipped than ever before.
