UPDATED WEATHER ALERT - January 21-23, 2025
Due to forecasted snow accumulation of 4-6" in Onslow and surrounding counties beginning today and extending into Wednesday, January 22, MCCS Lejeune-New River has issued the following guidance:
Tuesday, January 21 (TODAY)
• MCCS services and activities at MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River will close at 1:00 PM
• Child Development Centers will remain open until 3:00 PM to allow parents time for pickup
• Camp Lejeune MCX, MCAS New River MCX, and all Marine Marts will close at 3:00 PM
• Immediate evacuation required for Onslow Beach Recreational Lodging areas (houses/RV park)
Wednesday, January 22
• ALL MCCS facilities will be CLOSED, including all indirect operations (such as Wendy's, Dunkin', Firestone, and other contracted services)
Thursday, January 23
• MCCS will operate on a four-hour delay
• Facilities will open no earlier than 11:00 AM
• Regular start times apply if normally scheduled after 11:00 AM
